Okay, so what the heck does that mean?

We felt like standard wording like cocktail or black tie doesn't really cut it because our friends and family come from different places. Let's be honest: Bay Area cocktail is NYC smart casual at best. Sorry not sorry, west coast.

Bottom line: you can't be overdressed for our wedding. It'll be impossible. So if you are looking at a few options, pick the fancier one. In the age of this pandemic, we have lost so many opportunities to go all out when we gather together. And who knows when we have the excuse to do something like this again?

Don't worry about upstaging the marital couple and baby because we are gonna look faaaaabulous. Especially Miru. There will be costume changes! Reveals! Drama!

We encourage: brooches, boas, glitter, sequins, color, lamé and other metallics, fairy wings, beading, feathers, hats, suspenders, bowties, tulle, fascinators, animal prints, capes. And we ask our guests to collectively create a space where all everyone can express their gender freely and joyfully through their ensembles.

This is an outside wedding, so what about heels?

There is a lot of grass so we do not recommend stilettos unless you've recruited someone to carry you around for the night. Note that all parts of the wedding are on the same level at the venue and the only stairs are up to the sexy bathroom trailer.

I'm on a tight budget. How can I make this work?

We want to be clear: Fancy schmancy does not mean new or expensive. Many of Amy's past ensembles are straight from thrift shops. We also love a sustainable choice via borrowing, renting, or upcycling!
